Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Reasons to Attend - 2013 East Coast Meet, January 26-27, 2013

Debuting at the 2013 East Coast Meet is the often rumored, long awaited Ralph Ratcliffe Models Mack MR resin kit! Ralph has had an in-process mold master on display the past couple of years and with the completion of the final piece to the puzzle, the photo-etched details, it's looking ready for "prime time" as you can see from the display sample Ralph has built. The photo-etched details include two different grilles with separate "MACK" lettering, prototypical pantograph style windshield wipers, mirrors with bulldog emblems, cab window frames, two styles of cab steps, muffler heat shield, and the cab corner wind deflectors (not shown on sample model). Ralph will also have numerous new photo-etched samples on display including fire equipment pump panels for his Mack CF and Hahn fire trucks, several different styles of exhaust heat shields with different hole patterns, and several other surprises. Be sure to check Ralph Ratcliffe Models' store in our display area!

Dan Goins of Zycon Models has informed us that he will have an ample supply of the iconic Classic Metal Works 1/87 scale 1954 GMC PD4501 "Scenicruiser" bus models in all five model numbers (unique unit numbers and destination signs for New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, St. Louis, and blank destination as shown here). Built exclusively for Greyhound Lines, this bus saw several different paint schemes during its Greyhound service and as they were sold off became some very unique private coaches. This classic bus is the absolute signature intercity bus of the 1950s and '60s lasting in secondary and package express service at Greyhound into the '70s. Dan expects to be the only vendor at the show to have these for sale this weekend!

Just in case we haven't gotten you interested with all the hype surrounding our upcoming show appearance in W. Springfield, MA January 26-27, 2013, how about this little jewel to pique your interest? Since we put the spotlight on River Point Station last week (see immediately below) we'll deflect a little attention from Ron Elsdoerfer to this '34 Ford street rod from Clare Gilbert that will be on display at the Sylvan Scale Models booth. The model is based a brand new '34 Ford resin model kit Clare in introducing at the show. Be sure and stop by and tell Clare we sent you!

The standard cab Ford F series pickup truck with "topper" shown here will be on display at the River Point Station area along with other new products under development and on their way to our shores. "Too new" to interest you? How about a 1961 Ford Econoline van (both passenger and cargo) or a 1960s era Ford N heavy truck tractor under development? Stop by and talk to the Elsdoerfers and they'll be happy to tell you all about them. Oh yeah, stop by and see us too!

In addition to our exhibition area displaying hundreds of models and Route87 modules, there will be numerous vendors selling their wares (Chester Fesmire, Don Mills Models, Ralph Ratcliffe Models, and Zycon Models in our area alone!) and manufacturers (Sheepscot Scale Products, Athearn to name a few) and other vendors with new products on display and for sale throughout the show.
