Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Introducing Our New Logo...

We recently offered a new run of 1/87 Vehicle Club shirts in connection with the 2013 East Coast Meet (January 26-27, 2013). You may have noticed the lettering font or type style was something you may not have been accustomed to and certainly have never seen before on our web site. This is our new club and web site logo! We tested several different variants with a "focus group" and settled on this one as the most expressive and representative of our group's purpose.

Why the change? Our original logo was designed by Brad Libby who produced an extensive line of custom decals and created much original artwork. When Brad passed away several years ago we made numerous attempts to secure not only the artwork to our original logo but to the decals as well. To say we were unsuccessful would be an understatement. Lacking the original artwork and needing a vector graphics file that would lend itself to the production of a large banner for shows, we were faced with recreating the individual images and assembling them into the logo. When considering different typeface/font styles we settled on this one as our face going forward and we think it looks terrific on our new club shirts. We want to thank graphics artist Joe Olvera for his splendid work on our new logo design. We hope you like it as much as we do! [posted 01/26/2013]
