Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

2011 East Coast Meet

We invite and encourage everyone to attend the 2011 East Coast Meet being held in conjunction with the 2011 Amherst Railway Society Train Show in West Springfield, MA on January 29-30, 2011. The Train Show is held at the Eastern States Exposition Fairgrounds (The Big E) in West Springfield, Massachusetts. More than 24,000 modelers, railfans, and public have attended the Show each of the past three years.

Where To Find Us At The Show

We also encourage you to attend the show and display your models with us at the show. Click on the "Where To Find Us At The Show" link above or to the left to view a map of the Mallary Complex where we're located. We have allocated to our club's display area a total of 42 (!) eight foot tables (30 inches deep), even larger than we had at the 2010 show. We anticipate having plenty of space available but we do want to assign display areas based on an advance registration process. You can sign up for the amount of linear space you desire to display models in 2 foot increments. Please register as soon as possible to make the show setup in January go as smoothly as possible. Go to the Registration Page to sign up. Special thanks to Dan Goins for volunteering to manage this registration process.

We also welcome vendors to join us at the show in our display area. If you would like to sell models, kits, parts, etc. in our club's display area, sales tables are available @ $130.00 per 8 foot table. We will make every effort to match sellers wishing partial sales tables with others wishing to do the same.

For accommodations in the area for the show, consult the Hotel Listing at the Amherst Society Train Show site. Scroll down to the accommodations section of the page. Many of our club members will be staying at the Days Inn and Hampton Inn, both in Chicopee, MA about a block apart. We've found these two hotels offer plenty of available rooms at reasonable rates (be sure and ask for the train show rates) during the show weekend. It's a great place to hang out after the show with fellow modelers and enjoy some of the most enjoyable people you'll ever meet in this hobby! [posted 01/13/2011]
