2003 catalog. Although written in German it has many photographs of
new models. Check out the Adobe
Metal Works has notified dealers
(though not officially announced) several new models based on three
new tooling efforts. There will be variations of a 1966 Ford Galaxie,
1978 Chevrolet Impala, and 1950s International Harvester truck. We
have no more information on exactly which International truck will
be modeled. The Ford and Chevrolet will be offered in police and taxi
versions as well as regular passenger sedans. We'll have more info
as it becomes available to us.
Herpa has announced their releases for
101516 – Mini Cooper S “France” 101523 – Mini Cooper S “Canada” Herpa expands the Flag Edition with another pair of black Minis
with colorful roofs, bringing the total to six. Already announced
future delivery are Cuban, Italian, and Mexican flag versions.
American and British flag models as well as a racing-car with
roof and starting number 177 will be reserved for Herpa’s
eXtra Shopping (Meaning very expensive in North America). Private
display box, limited edition as before. Suggested U.S. retail price
for each is $18.95.
101585 – BMW 7 Series, metallic gray, Private Collection After regular versions in standard and metallic paint, a very
neatly detailed Brilliant model, and BMW promotional models just
perfectly decorated, BMW’s flagship sedan finally gets a PC display
box. BMW collectors apparently make for a large share of the market. Suggested U.S. retail price is $19.75. 045896 – MAN ME 2000 (L-cab) LF 12/16 “Fire Department,
City of Recklinghausen” This is a combination of the existing LF12/16 body

The cab is
on MAN’s mid size ME-Class chassis; the new tooling is restricted
to an appropriate bumper section. The model is decorated for the
Recklinghausen fire brigade, located in the Ruhr area of Germany. Suggested U.S. retail price is $22.95. 045902 – Mercedes-Benz Vario RTW “Fire Department” An red EMS van with generic design, useful for model

very persuasive. Suggested U.S. retail price is $13.75. 045926 – 2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class “Hamburg Police” Brandenburg and Hamburg are the only German states
where silver police cars are not marked with green, but
blue plastic foils.

this is the second miniature of a Hamburg prototype in 1/87th scale. Suggested U.S. retail price is $13.75. 045933 – Mercedes-Benz Vario LWB van “Fire Department,

fair in 2002. The Herpa model’s production is not limited.
The question remains how many of the expensive “Avantgarde”-line
taxis are operated. Suggested U.S. retail price is $11.50.

with box-type semi-trailer “150th anniversary of
jeans” Levi Strauss, the “inventor” of the ever-popular blue

Museum and the Bing Brothers, who contribute a trucker bear. The
