Toronto Greyhound 1936 GM-Yellow Z-CT843 Intercity Coach - By Peter Newgard

2003 National Convention Winner - Best Vintage Model Award

Peter Newgard took the Best Vintage Model award with this scratchbuilt model of a 1936 GM-Yellow Coach Z-CT843. This model represents the last Yellow/GM bus with a front mounted engine and ash framed body on a special Yellow Coach bus chassis. Peter reports approximately 750 of this and similar model buses were built from 1934-1936 and used by most intercity operators in the United States and Canada. Peter's model is a solid resin casting from a mold master he made from styrene. It has been airbrushed with authentic Greyhound blue paint. Wheels are from an Athearn model. The really exciting news is that Peter intends to release a hollow resin version of this bus in kit form in late 2003!
