Komatsu's real-life WA900 is a WA800 with a bigger bucket and a
counterweight on the
rear bumper. Kibri's WA800 kit offered an excellent starting point for Wayne
Calder's WA900 model. It
involved modifying the bucket to make it larger and scratchbuilding the
counterweight. Bigger wheels and tires were added too. Kibri's stock WA800

the background.
