Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

International Loadstar Grain Truck - By Jim Groeneweg

Anyway, this started life out as the solid resin casting from Walthers; an early '70s International Loadstar 1700! The front end was cut off and a new tilt hood/grille was scratch built, then a mold was made to do a roll cast of the finished cab! It now is a late '70s 1700 diesel version! It is mounted on a modified Athearn C cab chassis using the spoke wheels supplied with the Ford as well as the stake body, which is modified to resemble a farm/grain box, shortened as it hauls bulk loads! Fuel tanks were cut down from a Lindberg Astro. Color is Ryder yellow and black for the box. Also shown in Photo Gallery 234.
