Young Alex Aiken built this truck for his Grandpa's Christmas present this past year. Alex started with a Trident Ford pickup, used hy-rail wheels from Details West, bumpers and rack from Plano Model Products, and a spool from Alex's parts box. The graphic on the hood is a custom made decal for his grandfather's railroad. Alex airbrushed, decaled, and hand painted the accessories and truck himself. His dad, Trip Aiken, was only 'overseeing' the project and let Alex do the work himself. By the way, Alex is 10-1/2 years old! Quite an accomplishment for this young modeler!
