Alan Olson has created some very distinctive 1/87 models and this is another fine example. Alan took a Walther's 1937 Chevrolet sedan delivery painted in ATSF colors and finished with Microscale N-scale locomotive decals. It was inspired by photos in an old Santa Fe Modeler's magazine. The prototype was a real 1947 Chevrolet sedan delivery painted for use by the ATSF's Safety Department. The car towed a matching trailer to various California locations showing safety films to railroad employees. Alan said he just couldn't resist the colors! Displayed at the 2001 West Coast Meet in Culver City, California.
