Kress Molten Steel Ladle Carrier - By Bob Forsythe

This is a 1/87 scale model of a Kress ladle carrier that Bob Forsythe built from his own resin castings to go with his steel mill modeling. There are about 55 to 60 hours in making the masters for the molding and then 3 to 4 hours to cast the pieces in resin and another 6 to 7 to assemble each carrier.  Except for a few styrene tubes and rods, the parts for the castings were all scratchbuilt out of styrene from the cab right down to the tires.
