Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Maryland State Police 1977 Chevrolet Impala - By Mark Jaffe

Mark Jaffe built this early 1980s Maryland State police car for his HO scale Chessie System train layout set in Maryland. He started with a Classic Metal Works 1977 Chevy Impala and repainted it with Testors light yellow. The decals are from eBay seller "Mesatraffic" for the door emblems and Microscale for the lettering. The spotlight is from Busch. Mark scratchbuilt the Federal light rotor using the bubble from the package the car came in, punch outs from red and blue sequins to simulate the red and blue lenses, and Bare Metal Foil. The side view mirrors are from a Masterpiece Automotive Replica Ford.
