EE Souther Kenworth K100E Twin Steer Tanker Truck & Trailer - By Kevin Shanahan

Here's some close up photos of Kevin Shanahan's E.E. Souther Chemical Company Kenworth K100E twin steer tanker truck. E.E. Souther Chemical Company is a fictional operation running both Kenworth and Peterbilt equipment. These are photographs of one of the fleet of Kenworth twin steer trucks with 108" Aerodyne cabs equipped with Cummins ISX 600 horsepower engines and Allison automatic transmissions that are capable of pulling either 2 or 3 forty foot chemical tank trailers with lift axles. Gross combination loads range from 220,000 lbs. (2 trailers) to 300,000 lbs. (3 trailers).

The tractor model is Herpa Kenworth 108" Aerodyne converted to a twin steering axle configuration (8x4 with lift axle). The model features Herpa front duplex tires and wheels, Herpa steering conversion kits, A-Line aluminum rear wheels, Dennis Aust low profile 11R24.5 tires, A-Line fuel tanks modified to fit the chassis, A-Line tool box, Microscale Decals, Tamiya and Floquil paints. The pull trailers are modified Herpa tank trailers with lift axles, the twin axle dollies are modified Herpa dollies. All trailers have A-Line tool boxes, A-Line aluminum wheels and Dennis Aust 11R24.5 low profile tires, decals are from Microscale, paint is Tamiya and Floquil and license plates are from Howard's Hobbies. We've featured some of Kevin's Kenworths previously in Photo Galleries 534, 545, and 547.
