Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Highway Patrol Ford Galaxie - By Brian Donato

Brian Donato just completed this Highway Patrol Unit that started out as a regular beige Masterpiece Models sedan out of the package. Brian added Microscale decals, AM/FM antenna, CB radio whip antenna, Athearn red gum ball light, rear facing roof mounted red flashers modified from Athearn, cast metal fender mounted spotlight, scratchbuilt push bar from a Boley ladder, and a vintage outside window mounted speed radar from parts box pieces. He hand painted the window trim, rocker trim, wheel well trim, headlights, and marker lights and painted the wheels to resemble the old school "poverty" or "dog dish" style hub caps. The body is lightly weathered with a MIG pigments wash and sealed in Testors Dullcote. The interior features a metal prisoner partition cage and light hand painted accents.
