Bob Sundstrom of Model Freightways built this Great Dane Convert-A-Van from parts and pieces from various sources. The prototype trailers were used in the 1960s to carry both flatbed loads such as those shown here or enclosed with the side panels (shown stacked in the nose of the trailer) installed and a tarp covering the top. On display again at the 2014 East Coast Meet in W. Springfield, MA.
