Classic & Vintage Automobile Restoration Shop - By Michael Stegmann

This classic and vintage automobile restoration shop built by Michael Stegmann was on display recently at the 2014 Fulda Meet. The black/blue automobile above is a model of a German 'Rumpler Tropfenwagen' (in English: Rumpler Drop Car) circa 1920s. The Rumpler Company was known as an early constructor of airplanes (Rumpler Taube - Rumpler Pigeon). That explains the airplane-like design. The construction had no success and only a very low number of those cars was built.

The marvelous red race car model in the below is a 'Fiat Mefistofele' from 1922. The British owner of the prototype replaced the original Fiat engine with an airplane engine and so he reached a speed record of 234,98 km/h (in 1922!!!). Both models are completely made by Michael Stegmann with using 3D printing, resin casting, and photo etch technology. Special thanks to Heinz Peters for this information!
