Kenworth T600B & Dorsey Van trailer - By Jim Groeneweg

When Jim Groeneweg was trying to figure out what prototype Trucks N' Stuff used for their 53' dry van trailer, he decided the closest match was a Dorsey. Shown here are the results of that. As Jim says, "Of course I opted for the Canadian look; I scratchbuilt a 72" tridem air ride suspension that actually slides as shown in variable stances and spare tire rack. Slightly modified the rear drip rail area and scribed a line across the lower bulkhead resembling an aluminum lower plate and landing gear. Tires and wheels are Promotex with tires narrowed down."

The tractor is the Ertl KW T600B (which Jim comments, "...[it] is slightly oversized I think, but that is beside the point.") The only modifications to it are rounding the front angle of the fenders and bumper making it the aftermarket "stainless steel" one.
