These two Maxim tiller ladder units are models of the first two Maxim units purchased by Somerville (New Jersey) Fire Department. 1974 Red & 1976 Lime/Yellow orders followed. The red 1974 unit was the first Maxim (Ladder 4) purchased by Somerville. Next purchases arrived in 1976 and called for one lime-yellow ladder (#2) and 6 lime yellow 1250 pumpers (Engines 1,2,3,4,5, & 7). John used 3D printed cabs from Shapeways and Maxim pumper and tiller trailer bodies from Busch.
