Jim Groeneweg built this gorgeous Western Star auto carrier using various parts and pieces from various Jacob Models resin kits. The cab is a combination of the Jacobs Model Western Star 4900 SBA and 4900 SFA day cab castings to get the 42” flat top sleeper. Jim mounted the cab on a modified Boley chassis with Athearn wheels and tires with added scratchbuilt air cleaners, half fenders (from K&S stock), mud flap brackets, exhaust stacks (with Masterbilt Models heat shields), and a modified head rack. Decals are a combination of Paul Kittle, Pen Bay, and A-Line.
The trailer is a slightly modified Walthers' unit built years ago, just updated slightly with lo-pro wheels and tires from Dennis Aust. The 7 Mazda CX5 autos are all from Promotex, repainted except for the charcoal grey which is authentic.
