Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

Fire Station No. 2 - By John DaPos

This is John DaPos' rendition of a fire company in his hometown's downtown area when he was kid in the '70s. This was the only station that used light yellow as the paint scheme. The flagship rig was a 1970 Oshkosh/Pierce snorkel. John made cab by fusing the front of Del Prado die-cast model to the rear of an IHC Mack. The body was made with many cut sections of IHC ladder and pumper models. The boom is modified from Boley with a shortened Road Champs bucket. Also shown is a 1956 Mack B61 engine made from an Athearn cab and a white metal body. The 1969 International Cargostar heavy rescue was made with a Wiking cab and a white metal body.
