Brockway 761 Dump/Snow Plow Truck - By Brian Donato

Brian Donato recently finished this Brockway 761 snow plow equipped dump truck. The cab, chassis, wheels/tires, hydraulic tank, battery box, air tanks, exhaust (also the photo etched heat shield) etc are all from Ralph Ratcliffe Models. The plow frame is all strip styrene except the very front of the plow frame with the piston; that's from Ralph Ratcliffe Models' snow plow kit. Brian used sewing string for the wing plow cables. Athearn Mack R supplied the stepped fuel tanks and air horn with Plano Model Products photo-etched mirrors, ROCO strobe light, and MV Products jeweled head and tail lights. He modified the Ralph Ratcliffe Models Mack FK dump bed to prototypically fit the wing plow tower with the cab protector, added balsa wood boards, styrene shaped and worn through to reflect beat up mud flaps, a rear apron shoot of styrene, and drilled rot holes for weathering. Brown paint was used for rust and weathering chalks to add realism of a well worked over rig.
