Rick Hoskinson built this Mercedes Benz L 10000 road train, a Wiking model with just a couple of improvements: Trilex wheels and tires as well as the fuel tank came from Herpa, the windshield wipers are from A-Line, and the light lenses are from MV Products. Rick found the Deutsche Reichsbahn decals on eBay and the license plates had to be lettered and numbered with decals one character at a time. The trailer was salvaged from the spares box and new rear axles were installed from a cannibalized Herpa elliptical tank trailer. The paint is a custom mix of Model Masters which closely resembles the Deutsche Reichsbahn pre-war livery.
