This scene depicts the Great Northern depot on Hennepin Ave. in Minneapolis, circa 1953. The GM TDH-5105 transit buses were new and soon replaced the street cars. Today the Grain Belt sign remains as a landmark. The scene was modeled by Arlan Tietel on his model railroad. Arlan had the red APM bus model to which fellow modeler David Johnson added blue stripes cut from Microscale Trim Film (painted) and custom printed decals received from John Trulson many years ago. Other details are based on the photo received from a local bus historian.
