1964 Impala "Loco 64" Custom - By Samuel Denehy


This is a 1964 Impala show custom modeled after an actual show car named "Loco 64" by Samuel Denehy, built from an RPM87 resin kit. It was cut, shaved, sanded, "Dremeled," and modified to open everything on this car. The opened hood, front clip, suicide doors, suicide trunk, all hinged so it opens and closes. Samuel also put a sunroof in it. The resin is engine from Lou Wee with scratchbuilt Chevrolet LS air intake system, scratchbuilt battery with cables, scratchbuilt brake booster with brake lines, and scratchbuilt radiator with hoses.

The interior and undercarriage came from John Tyson resin parts cut down to make it fit as needed. The dashboard is from the RPM kit modified to fit. Sam painted the interior light and dark pink with chrome strip lining the seats and doors. Hydraulic pumps installed under the deck lid. The undercarriage was painted to match the body with chrome accent added. Body is painted a candy metal flake red with chrome bumpers, grille, and window trim. Wheels are from Busch.
