Promoting Excellence in HO Scale Vehicle Modeling

1962 Mack C Pumper - By Warren Gleitsmann

This is a model of E301 a 1962 Mack C-Model pumper from the Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company in Baltimore County. The model was constructed in 1992 using a NJ International Mack C cab and an AHM Mack CF pumper chassis & body. The AHM chassis & CF interior were cut to so that the smaller C model cab would fit. Next the rear body and chassis were cut in 2 places to allow for the larger double door compartments that the real vehicle had. Next sheet plastic stock was used to raise hose bed and make compartment doors for the larger compartments. On each side booster reels were trimmed from the top of AHM CF Mack's to be installed in the both open rear side compartments.
