Back in 2007, several toy manufacturers entered the 1/87 market with cheap die-cast vehicles sold at the "big box" stores. This ambulance model started as a custom decorated 1974 Ford cargo van from Street Whips. The original thick paint was removed and Duplicolor automotive white sprayed on. Microscale decals were used for the new livery. A scratchbuilt light bar and siren as well as Bare Metal Foil applied to the grille completed the basic conversion.
