At the 2024 East Coast Meet held in conjunction with the Amherst Model Train Show, John Soehner purchased four "seconds" (less than perfect) 3D resin prints from Justin Grim’s of Grim Bros. Models spares box. One trailer, a wood chip trailer had suffered some imploding of the walls of the trailer, was resurrected with some wedging of thicker cardstock to stretch the walls wider. Rather than fill the trailer full of sawdust (suitable wood chip material), more cardstock was fitted part way up in the trailer then sawdust mixed with carpenter glue, thinned with rubbing alcohol and water to fix the sawdust in place, was added to the trailer. The sawdust was a bit course so a thin covering of finer “fluff,” Woodland Scenic static grass flock, topped off the load. The wheels on the trailer are from Herpa/Promotex. The tractor a Sheepscot Autocar DC13064 cab married to a Boley tandem chassis some ten years ago. The Boley tires were traded out for larger 1/64th tires from an 1/64th Ertl gasoline semi-trailer vehicle.
