Bill Badger had this diorama with a 1920s theme featuring a carriage works operation and lots of wagons and buggies around. The barn frame under construction is what is known as an “English barn,” a style quite common in New England. Carriage shops often had a blacksmith shop on the ground floor with stone walls for protection from sparks and a wooden upper floor where woodworking and painting was done. Vehicle models are from a variety of manufacturers.
