Richard Olson kitbashed an Athearn Kenworth W900 truck tractor and Lonestar Models 43' Wilson grain trailer into a small farmer’s truck and pup trailer setup. He bought a partially built Lonestar trailer kit that needed help so he could build this. He removed the molded in floor and cut off the front 18 feet of the sidewalls, then reattached the front wall to the new 22 foot trailer. He added a single hopper chute, modified the rear suspension to a single axle, and scratchbuilt the new dolly. The truck body consists of new front, rear, and floor mated to the Lonestar sides. A parts box ladder was added to the side. An Athearn Kenworth kit was used, stretching the chassis to fit the new bed. Modified Athearn fuel tanks and exhaust, kitbashed interior from Herpa and Alloy Forms, and A-Line wheels and tires were used on all axles. Painted in Duplicolor spray White and Carmel then some Testors, Tamiya detail paint, and washes to finish it off. Indoor pictures taken on the Cascades and Deschutes Model RR in Portland, Oregon.
